GeekInsider got a chance to chat with one of Jimdo's founding members - Matthias Henze. We wanted to know how their CMS was different from everyone else's, how it really felt to turn down 8 figures, and more importantly, how if Geeks ruled the world it would be a nicer place!
There's a lot we already know, and just by browsing the internet, you can quickly discover how great it is to work for a tech/software company – just check out Google for instance! Working for a tech company (Geek Bosses), makes for one hell of a fun job. But, we came across something we had not heard of before - A Feel Good Manager. So, we asked Matthias to explain.
Question: We would love some insight into your employees. About the video and introduction to a 'feel good manager', tell us in your own words why you think a happy staff is a productive staff? Tell us more about the 'Mojo' culture...why is it so important to you personally that your employees remain happy?
Answer: We do it because that is how we like to work, that’s the environment that we feel best in, and we want the same for our employees. We are all sitting together, eating lunch together and enjoying the occasional after work drink together, so it makes sense that we would want to ensure that is a great atmosphere to be in.
The end result is that people feel good about coming to work and excited about what theyare working on because they are passionate about it. And the product reflects that.
